Our Story

Inspired by the potential of solar power and the need for sustainable growth, Kegon draws upon over 15 years of experience in solar and electrical fields to launch Sunny Electric. With a focus on providing residential shade canopies, our goal is to contribute to making Tucson a leader in sustainability while also assisting people with their electrical service needs.

Kegon's journey began in rural Arkansas where, at the age of 6, a surprising encounter with electricity ignited his curiosity. From tinkering with small electronics to stepping into the electrical trades at high school, Kegon's passion for understanding how things work led him to continue his education in Electrical Automation. His path eventually led him to Tucson, Arizona, where he delved into solar energy and gained diverse experience in the solar and electrical industries. Kegon remains committed to integrating his love for nature and environmental concerns into his work. In his personal life, Kegon shines as a devoted and fun-loving father to two wonderful children. He finds joy in activities like camping, bike riding, and gardening.
